Saving your heart for the right man.
In the 3rd Millie Keith book Millie's mom is talking to her about saving her heart. Millie's mom, Marcia, said to give your heart to Jesus. This is the prayer Marcia tells Millie that she said when she was young.
"Jesus, please hold my heart in Your hands. Don't let me give it or any piece of it away. I want YOU to give it away in Your time, to the right person. Please hold it, lock it up, and keep the key."
This is beautiful. Who else can you trust to give your heart to the right man at the right time? No one. Heavenly Father and Jesus love you so much. They want what is best for you. I believe that if you give them your heart, and your life, then you will be able to more fully become the person you were created to be.
I have given my heart to Jesus. I don't want to give it to the wrong person, I want him to hold it for me until the right man comes into my life.
For many years I have wanted to get a key to wear around neck. I am going to get a key that I will put on a necklace to wear around my neck. This is going to remind me that my heart is locked. Sealed until Heavenly Father chooses to give my heart to the right man.
