Something I love...

Hey Everyone! I feel so terriable about neglecting my blog for so long! But I have a little bit of time today....about ten minutes.

So this post is going to be about something that I love, something that gives me joy.

Dancing.

I love dancing. Dancing is a way for me to release stress and when I dance I don't care about anything else, it is just me and the music. When I finish a dan e or learn a step I feel wonderful...and when I dance it doesn't matter if I am in a good mood or I am sad, angry or worried, whatever emotion I am feeling I just pour into the dance and I use that energy to help me do the dance in a wonderful way. And no matter how I feel when i get to dance class I always finish my class feeling happy, refreshed and usually exhausted. =)

I am so gald that I started taking dance a few years ago. Since I have started I have realized that this is something I want to do for my whole life. I will probably not make it a proffesion but I always want to do it...for me.

I was talking with some of my friends and I asked on of tehm if they have something that does that for them...something that gives them joy and helps tehm relax. My friend said that she has not yet found something that does that for her. So I was wondering, what makes you feel like this?

It used to be softball but now it is dance for me. What is it for you? I would love to hear what it is! just leave me a comment.

Dancing is the poetry of the foot. -John Dryden

The dance is a poem of which each movement is a word. -Mata Hari

Dance is the hidden language of the soul. -Martha Graham

Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance. -Dave Barry

You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart. - Anonymous

Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another. - Anonymous

On with the dance! let joy be unconfined;
No sleep till morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet
To chase the glowing Hours with flying feet.
- Lord Byron

Dance isn’t a form it’s a way of life. - Anonymous

Thousands of emotions well up inside me through out the day. They are released when I dance.
Abraham Lincony

You know you’re dancing when tears of pain and happiness blend in with your sweat.

Have a good week everyone!

Weather...and Friends

Hello everyone!! Fall is here and winter is right around the corner ready to drown out all memories of warm days. I am a spring/summer girl. Not a winter girl. I love fall but not so much this year. It is October and the other day it was 35 degrees. Way to cold for my liking.

But my birthday is in the winter so I do like it a bit..and then there is Christmas oh and Thanksgiving. So I guess it isn't all bad. =)

I have a poem about winter, well the seasons...but I have to find it. I wrote it a year or two ago. I will look this week and when I come back to the library I will post it. (if I find it) lol

Her are some qoutesa bout friendship. I hope you all enjoy them!

Oh but first I have a funny story about friends. Me and my frined were walking to her house yesterday after work. She is always almost running into somthing or walking in to the path of someone..and I always pull her awya or guid her path. It is just instinct.

Well yesterday I wasn't watching where I was going and then she said Wild Rose! watch out! and pointed to the ground.

There were 2 dead possums about 3 inches from where I stopped! I almost stepped on them! Oh it was so gross!

I jumped away and playfully socked her arm. What kind of friend are you I cried (all in fun of course) She said well I didn't let you step on them!! She was right...she came thorough for me...a few inches before but she did come through. LOL

Anywas we have a lot of fun together...and now the qoutes....

Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget. -- G. Randolf

What is a friend? I will tell you it is someone with whom you dare to be yourself. -- Frank Crane

A friend is one who knows us, but loves us anyway. -- Fr. Jerome Cummings

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. Friendship is one mind in two bodies.

A friend is someone you can be alone with and have nothing to do and not be able to think of anything to say and be comfortable in the silence. -- Sheryl Condie

I need you too know our friendship means a lot - If you cry then I cry, if you laugh..if you jump out the window I look down then....I laugh again :-)

But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything. -- Mohammed Ali

Have a good one!!

Update

We got a new keyboard!! Yes! So all I have to do is adjust my schedule some and I should be posting more regularly now. =) That will be nice. I miss sharing my thoughts and writings with you all.

Sorry!

I haven't been on my blog in a long time...too long of a time. our keyboard broke and so we have to use an onsceen one. It is torture. So I have not written anything or even gotten on my blog because I knew if I did I would want to write something and then I would torture myself and try to write and then it would somehow get deleted. Trust me this happened 5 times!

Anyway enough about my problems...I just wanted to say that I am sorry and that hopefully I will be able to post something soon. (Incase you are wondering, I am at the library right now.)

Sweep...Dust...Fold...Arrange

Today my aunt and grandma arrived for a visit. So before they came we were cleaning. Cleaning my room was first on my list.

And to make even more cleaning for me Mom said that I had to clean under my bed. Horror! lol

My little sister recently rearranged her part so I figured I would do the same thing. Yes, I just seemed to want to make more work for myself.

I started by cleaning under my bed. I figured I would tackle that first since it would be the biggest mess and I was going to move my bed. I went at it with a fury. I can be a good cleaner when I decide to and my Mom is not telling me to.

I cleaned under my bed moved my bed and desk and emptied a clothes bucket. Whew! Then I had to clean the top of my desk, dresser and Hope Chest, sweep the floor and dust.

I promise my room is not as dirty as it sounds! lol I just have a terrible habit of throwing clothes around. I don't leave food or plates around up there...well except fr an occasional apple core...I love eating an apple and reading a good book. Pure bliss!

Anyway, after I cleaned my room with help from the other messy culprits. (My 2 little sisters...although neither of them own up that they are the ones that leaves toys and stuffed animals around. They say it is me. ) I came downstairs. To find an unswept and a little messy house. What?!? Totally unlike my mom. There was half an hour left before they would get here. Why wasn't she sweeping? Because she was helping my brother make a puppet. He wants to be a puppeteer.

So I grabbed the broom and swept. I asked my mom, "What's wrong with you? You're acting like me!" (all in good fun of course) She replied, "Yeah and your acting like me!"

So yes I can clean and move quickly when I am motivated.

I did have a lot of fun cleaning and arranging. I loved making the place clean and presentable. Although I guess I could have leaved it how it was since it was pretty clean anyway. (My mom runs a tight ship. But even then it gets messy with all 7 of us. ;)

Anyway, it was a fun day. My grandma and Aunt are here and we have had so much fun. I will post more about our visit later.

Here are a few good quotes that go along with my day.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow. But the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work. ~Patricia Clafford

On judgment day,
If God should say
Did you clean your
House today?
I will say, I did not.
I played with
The children and I forgot.
~Sue Wall

Management is about arranging and telling. Leadership is about nurturing and enhancing.
~Thomas J. Peters

Have a good day/night! And if you have to clean a room go at it and try to have fun along the way. It may not be your favorite thing but just think about all that you are accomplishing!

Fun, Fun, Fun....under the stars....

Tonight was a blast! I had so much fun. After work I went out on the boat, played soccer, kayaked, and enjoyed a bonfire.

Here is a poem that was sparked by my kayak ride tonight.

Black water,
moonless sky
a million stars

gliding
effortlessly

a trail
of days past
following
never catching up

peering into blackness
not sure
what lies ahead

trusting
in the One that cares
to guide you
through the black

softly breathing
straining to hear
marveling

at the wonder
of stars,
cricket chirps
and

bends in the road
behind and ahead

pondering
what the future
holds.

~ Wild Rose

Hope you all enjoy! I loved being alone yet sharing the kayak with someone else, paddling through black water with a million stars over head and a midnight black blanket draped around me.

15 Things God Won't Ask

God won’t ask what kind of car you drove, but will ask how many people you drove who didn’t have transportation.

God won’t ask the square footage of your house, but will ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

God won’t ask about the fancy clothes you had in your closet, but will ask how many of those clothes helped the needy.

God won’t ask about your social status, but will ask what kind of class you displayed.

God won’t ask how many material possessions you had, but will ask if they dictated your life.

God won’t ask what your highest salary was, but will ask if you compromised your character to obtain that salary.

God won’t ask how much overtime you worked, but will ask if you worked overtime for your family and loved ones.

God won’t ask how many promotions you received, but will ask how you promoted others.

God won’t ask what your job title was, but will ask if you reformed your job to the best of your ability.

God won’t ask what you did to help yourself, but will ask what you did to help others.

God won’t ask how many friends you had, but will ask how many people to whom you were a true friend.

God won’t ask what you did to protect your rights, but will ask what you did to protect the rights of others.

God won’t ask in what neighborhood you lived, but will ask how you treated your neighbors.

God won’t ask about the color of your skin, but will ask about the content of your character.

God won’t ask how many times your deeds matched your words, but will ask how many times they didn’t

Wow. Doesn't that make you think?

Klutzyness

Arianna, the author of Random Thoughts published a funny post about her being klutzy!

Haha! Her post made me laugh. I am also a klutz! I run into walls, trip on my shoes, while I am wearing them...And many other things. When my mom read the post she said "Hey, sounds just like you." I am not very graceful...

I have a few stories to share. I have always been klutzy but it got worse a few years ago. It doesn't help that 2 of my 3 friends that I hang out with a lot are very klutzy too. We are not a good combo. Luckily one of us is very graceful. But then she *is* a dancer.

One time during this town activity I had an embarrassing fall. We were standing in a circle talking next to a flower garden with a brick border. One of my friends moved closer to me. So I scooted over...and tripped over the bricks right onto a bush! Oh it hurt! And I was surrounded by like a million people...ok so I am exaggerating a bit it was more like a hundred or so.

But that same day one of my friends had an even bigger trip! Right in the cross walk! He was saying how his town is better and our town is lame and Bam! He tripped on nothing! We all had a good laugh over that. Especially since we were in the town he was dissing. (All in fun of course;)

I have had many other klutzy moments and I know there will be more to come!

I appreciated the laughs!

If you are a klutz or have any klutzy moments I would love to hear your stories! Just leave a comment. =)

Driving!

I am so hyped up! I just drove home. I have my permit but I don't drive often. Today I drove around town and all the way to my house. I did pretty good if I-do-say-so-myself. (even if it did take us half an hour to go 9 miles.) *sheepish smile*

Well I had to be doing good or my mom would never have let me drive home. I have driven around town before and in a parking lot but never on main roads. I am pretty excited. I saw someone I know when I was driving and he waved but I was concentrating on driving so was not about to wave back. I did get more relaxed after a bit though. Yah!

Maybe now I will be able to drive with mom more often. I hope so! It was so much fun!
